What is the JUF Sponsorship Program?

Fully approved via the JJustUsFriends (JUF) Sponsorship Program is the official avenue for substantial, non-directed monetary contributions to JUF.  It is the closest and most direct method for a corporation or individual to support JUF.  In return, JUF will make official acknowledgement and thanks for the donation via PR involvement (as appropriate according to sponsorship level), sponsor logo and link on the JUF Thanks Page (logo and link subject to JUF approval) and an official JUF logo to place on the Sponsor's site.

There are SIX sponsorship levels, defined by donation and in-return benefits of sponsorship. No more than 25% of value can be based on in-kind services

Donations made to the JUF Sponsorship Program must be coordinated with the JUF Public Relations and Fundraising Team.

Why should I sponsor JUF?

JustUsFriends, Inc. provides support for Those Who Need It ! Currently we have constructed a 2,500 sq.ft. Medical clinic in Arusha, Tanzania and in cooperation with GoodHope Orphanage and School are providing free medical services to 1,000 orphans, with another 800 waiting.  We began this venture in March 2011, when one of our friends went to Tanzania to volunteer his services in the medical field.  He saw the need for such services and contacted his friends stateside in the USA.   Because of the high value of the US dollar in Tanzania, this group of friends began the JUF organization, hired local people to construct the building, and was able to staff the clinic with Volunteers from 26 different countries through the JustUsFriends Volunteer Program.

JUF provides the infrastructure for the projects – such as teaching self-sustainability for the locals.  We have sponsored a separate “for profit” Safari Company, Just Good Safari's, in Tanzania, of which all proceeds will go to support the JUF Tanzanian Project.   Currently in Tanzania we are teaching 5 different languages in the primary school so the children can continue their education through the 8th grade. In cooperation with GoodHope Orphanage, JUF has been instrumental in implementing and encouraging other life-sustaining projects, such as water well installation, livestock for fresh dairy, gardening for fresh vegetables and now we have a fully staffed medical clinic to ensure proper health and growth of the children. Our medical doctors are working hand-in-hand on a “Grassroots” level with the local doctors to educate and properly treat and vaccinate against, polio, typhoid, Malaria, and HIV.

Our MISSION is to help these disadvantaged communities become self-sustaining and enable them to carry forward the new skills to help them thrive as a community.  Our goal is to accomplish this task in a 2-year time frame.

By sponsoring JUF, you show your support for our mission and help sustain a vibrant organization. Sponsorship also shows your support for the JustUsFriends Volunteer Program and provides you the opportunity to "give back" to these under-privileged communities. Finally, since JUF is a non-profit organization, sponsorship provides attractive tax benefits.

 

Where will my sponsorship funds go?

JustUsFriends is currently concentrating our efforts in Arusha, Tanzania. We concentrate on completing one project at a time, making sure the project is complete and functional before we move on top the next project. We have also been invited to Uganda, Nigeria, and Nepal.  In addition, 100% of your donation is allocated to our projects as we have NO PAID ADMINISTRATIVE EXPENDITURES.  We are simply a group of FRIENDS helping other FRIENDS.

Your sponsorship will allow JUF to meet our project expenses as well as expand our capabilities to maintain our leadership in these communities. Funding will allow us to be pro-active and enhance our community outreach.

JUF is a public charity that is registered as a non-profit, charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. This means that, for individuals within the U.S., donations to JUF should be tax-deductible. If you would like more information about supporting JUF, please contact fundraising at info@justusfriends.us.  Sponsorship donations are handled differently from standard non-directed donations, so if you want your donations to be part of the Sponsorship Program (and thus obtain the benefits of the program), you must coordinate the donation with the Public Relations and Fundraising team.  All information will be kept in strictest confidence.
